Dear Conference Attendees,

It is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to the fifth annual Wharton Restructuring and Turnaround Conference.

For today’s conference, our student organizers have brought together a distinguished group of industry leaders with financial, legal, operational, and distressed investing expertise to discuss recent advances and challenges in the work of rescuing troubled companies. This is indeed a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, and develop relationships that support the critical process of corporate restructuring.

The Wharton School is strongly committed to training future restructuring professionals, particularly in the wake of the current financial crisis. Our intellectual leadership is needed now more than ever, and I applaud all of the student organizers, distinguished speakers and panelists, and generous sponsors who have collaborated to make this conference possible.
